Catch up

Hi all!

Good grief! I haven't blogged in ages it seems, so much to catch everyone up on!

Biggest news.... I quit my job! (Nurse Recruiting) Let me tell you, I am a completely different person for it too (a happier one). I decided to come back to my very first job working for ECRM that I loved so much!

So far I have been to Chicago (where my husband met me after the show and we spent 4 days with Uncle Greg and had an amazing time. Plus the air show was going on and we both LOVE those!

Then I was in Atlanta for one of our biggest shows of the year, School and Office Supplies!
It has been so great catching up with old colleagues and meeting new friends. ECRM always seems to have the greatest people working for them. I've missed this family :)

Now, today, I am in LAS VEGAS!!!!! We have three shows going on here at one time, CRAZY, but I am working the Snack and Beverage show. This is my first time in Vegas, and so far it has been nothing less than amazing!!!

I promise to keep this updated as often as possible!
Sorry for staying away for so long!

Until next time . . . .

"Bye, Bye, Bye", Justin Timberlake!!!

Oh thank God! Kasey had been kicked off, and while I feel bad for the kid, he was way too uncomfortable to watch.

This episode was WAY to predictable and quite frankly BORING! Which is how I beleive the next few episodes will go until its down to Roberto, Chris L, Kirk, and Frank.
Then my friends, this show should get interesting!!!

One another Bachelor upadate : Jake and Vienna broke up! I wonder when he woke up and discovered anyone on his seasno would haev been better than Vienna Sausage!?

Until next time. . . .

(She's not) "Jesse's Girl"

BUMMER!!!! I can't beleive Jesse got kicked off, i thought Jesse and Ali had amazing cemistry, I guess off camera, not so much.
Finally weatherman isn't getting strung along anymore, although he was great entertainment. Kasey, looks like your the new one to "watch" and laugh at :)

Ok so last night Ali and the guys were in NYC! (my 4th favorite city in this country)

The first scene in NY is Ali at Instyle magazine! One of my all time favorite magazines! There is a blue dress they had her put on that I am literally obcessed with. I can't wait for her issue to come out on Friday! I need to see where to get that dress. (picture below)

Okay, so the first single date with Kasey . . . HAHA, once again I was on the floor dying of laughter. This guy is a mess. He sang to Ali three times this date, and she looked extremely uncomfortable! She actually ends up not giving him a rose at the end of the date (which typically sends that person home) but she says she wants him to stay and start being himself and not being overbearing and saying fake sweet stuff. His main line to her is always "I'm here to guard and protect your heart" I think he's said that 100 times to her this season. YACK!
That night Kasey ends up missing for about 10 hours, he comes back to the house and has a bandage around his wrist saying he got burned. (the guys still have no clue until the rose ceremony that he actually went and got a tatoo.)
Oh yes my friends a tatoo of a shield protecting a heart and a rose, on his wrist and its huge.
Ali, up to now, still doens't know about it. She ends up giving him a rose at the ceremony. UGH!

"Ali . . . that girl."

I don't know why I didn't think about blogging about this subject earlier, but I am from here on out. I'm going to blog after each episode of The Bachelorette.
For those of you who are new to the Bachelorette, you might just call her "that girl on that show", but her name is Ali, and she's one of my favorites, next to Jillian.
I am 4 for 6 on picking the winner of the Bachelor/Bachelorette for the seasons I've watched. Actually make that 4.5 for 6, since I picked Molly for Jason. (he picked Melissa on the show, but after broke up with her on the follow up show and wanted Molly back)
Any who, I loved Ali from last season with Jake, when she left I stopped watching:)
while I feel she wasn't dealt a fair hand on the 25 guys at the beginning, she has a few great ones left.
My favorites are Chris L, Kirk and Jesse.

Here is my brief run down on who is left....

Chris L - aka number one: from Boston, mom just passed away, extremely mature, great body, laid back, seems romantic

Kirk - aka hometown boy: goes for what he wants, extremely cute, romantic, reminds me of my mid-west guy friends, also funny

Jesse- aka Cutie :extremely adorable, a little young, really sweet

Roberto - aka Latino lover : sweet, mature, romantic

Jonathan - aka weatherman : yes he got the name weatherman because that is what he does for a living, and yes he reminds us as the audience he is a weatherman, by using "the forecast calls for..." at least 5 times an episode. he cries over everything, lets everyone pick on him, and is a total dork. he wonders why he's never kissed a girl before

Frank - aka: the chicagoian: the one thing i love about frank is he goes after his passion in life. he quit a huge advertising job in chicago to persue a dream of writing. He's goofy, sort of cute but lives with his parents

Craig- aka the nobody: I'm not calling him that to be mean, but i've literally never seen him stand out and certainly know nothing about him. Hope he goes home tonight.

Justin- aka: the wrestler: a little crazy for ali, a little too crazy for my liking. he's a pro wrestler for a career, and unfortunalty told the whole house about it the first night, now they all feel like he is there for the wrong reason. He came with a broken foot an has been at serious disadvantage because of it.

Kasey aka: Justin Timberlake: HAHAHA now that is a joke. I call him JT because everytime he has a moment with her, he breaks out in a song that he makes up off the top of his head. He has ali feeling totally uncomfortable and leaves me on the floor dying of laughter.

Ty: aka: the divorcee: i know i shouldn't judge, i just dont want to see ali with a guy who has already been married.

There's another Chris on the show, but again, sort of a nobody, i dont know i single thing about him.

my guess is he and craig go home to night... please oh please...

i hope kasey and weatherman stay around just for entertainment.

The Knot - featuring: US!!!!!

Hi again!
My commitment to you and myself is to post a blog 2 times a week, so far I am doing great!
As some of you know, after Adam and I got married in November, our photographers secretly submitted us for a "Just Married" feature in "The Knot" magazine. I received an e-mail from Charles (one of our photographers) that at the top had "you have been CC'd on this e-mail" (for those of you who aren't computer savvy that mean carbon copied)
the e-mail read this: (this is an e-mail from Charles to Megan at The Knot)
"Hi Megan,
Adam and Brittany are going to be absolutely thrilled! We can't wait to share the exciting news with them"

At this point I am extremely confused. I read down further through e-mails between Charles/Meg and Megan and I see they have submitted us and a few other weddings for the " Just Married" feature in "The Knot". I immediately get a huge smile on my face and jump on the phone to share the news with Adam!

One of The Knot coordinators immediately e-mails me with pages of questions. Adam and I sit down the following week and spend hours explaining details and answering questions.
We are told that we will appear in the Sping/Summer edition on 2011.

Present day 6/10/10 : Kara calls me to let me know I have recieved a package in the mail that is quite heavy, from a publishing company. I tell her I have no clue what it is, and tell her to open it. Inside in 3 copies of the Fall/Winter edition of The Knot, and sure enough we are in it!!! Surprise, we are a season early.
The magazine will hit stand this week or next and will be there until mid-August.
Here are a few pictures Kara sent me from her iPhone!

here is the cover, so you know which one it is in:

This edition is the "Florida" edition, so if you dont live in Florida and want a copy e-mail me and I will get you one!
Until next time . . .
XOXO

NOLA - my new 2nd favorite city

hey y'all!

This posting has taken me awhile to get around to, sorry! But I'm really, really, really excited to share our trip to New Orleans!
I was told by a few people before I went to New Orleans, that I would go this time, but never really want to go back. So going into this trip I was extremely sceptical. Those thoughts given to me turned out to be quite the opposite, I can't WAIT to go back. On my list of favorite cities, New Orleans, has taken the 2nd place spot (sorry Manhattan Beach) Chicago, you of course still hold #1.
I loved everything about New Orleans, the people, the scenery, and of course the SHOPPING!
The main reason for our trip to NOLA was for a friends wedding. Robert, who was in our wedding, married Becca right in Jackson Square! They couldn't have picked a better place for a wedding weekend!

We did everything touristy we could:) Went to Brennan's, Cafe du Monde, Magazine Street in the Garden District (which was my favorite) and toured all of the historic scenery.
Here are a few pictures from the trip!

Congrats again to Robert and Becca on tying the knot.
*Speaking of "the knot" watch for my next post on the "The Knot" magazine, you might recognize a bride and groom in the upcoming edition:)

House Divided

Tonight and the for the past 2 weeks our house has been divided. While Hubbs and I are both Lightning fans for obvious reasons, mostly financial :), we both have other teams that hold special places in our hearts.
Adam was raised with the love for any team from Philly, hence is love for the Fylers in the Stanley Cup Finals. And I have, with the help of my Uncle, been raised an anything Chicago fan. That city holds a huge spot in my heart. So, I am pulling for my Blackhawks in the finals.
Tonight we are watching the game both cheering on our beloved teams. Courtney (Adam's youngest sister is here too) so the Flyers have two fans. I, of course get Campbell on my team and we are pulling for the Hawks!

Got to get back to the game.... I will be blogging about our amazing trip to New Orleans this weekend.

Until next time GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
